Diffus Pendant

Diffus is simple in its basic shape but curved in a way that ensures the pliability of the materials holds the light inside, like keeping a secret.
Together, its form and the recyclable anodised aluminium create a lampshade that subtly and gently diffuses the light that it casts.

Diffus is available in two sizes and three colours. The shade is held together with a leather knot. The pipe is also dressed in leather.

DESIGNER

KATJA PETTERSSON

Katja Pettersson has been working individually as a designer, as well as contributing to groups, and as a teacher and lecturer since her MFA at Konstfack 2004. She is one of the founders of the design group Front, where many of her projects now feature in the permanent collections of MOMA in New York, Center Pompidou in Paris, and the V & A Museum in London.
Katja Pettersson left the group in 2009 and works today at Konstfack as a Senior lecturer and as an independent creator. The focus of her work is the hierarchy between man and nature, conveyed by gestalt and material explorations. This work was shown at the Welcome Back 2017 and Breakpoints 2018 exhibitions.
In 2014, with Konstnärsnämdens she was awarded a five-year working grant. On behalf of Stockholm Art, she works with the gestalt of Stadsmuseum's court yard. In 2018 she was elected to the Royal Academy for the free arts because of her artistic height and mission.
